Temporary enlivenment of a former homeless refuge
Wiesenburg summer workshop, Berlin
The Wiesenburg summer workshop was a festival for schoolchildren and residents of the Berlin borough of Wedding, which took place in June 2012 amongst the remains of the former “Wiesenburg” homeless refuge. The largely unknown site in the middle of the city was almost completely taken over by nature as a consequence of decades of vacancy and the intention of the festival was to bring it back into public perception.
