Architect and urban planner. Since May 2013, Chair of the Federal Foundation of Baukultur. Previously head of the department for urban development, urban and landscape design in the Senate Administration for Urban Development in Berlin (from 2005). Since 1986, Reiner Nagel has worked for the City of Hamburg in various capacities at the borough and senate level, most recently beginning in 1998 as the managing director of HafenCity Hamburg GmbH. He is a lecturer in urban design at TU Berlin, a member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning (DASL), and an associate member of the Association of German Architects (BDA).
Dr. Anne Schmedding
Art and architectural historian, dissertation on the Hanover architect Dieter Oesterlen. In 2011, together with Dr. Constanze von Marlin, founded Schmedding.vonMarlin. GbR, office for research and editing in the field of recent architectural and art history. Previously a scientific assistant for architectural theory and history at Technische Universität Braunschweig, editor of the journal Daidalos, and author of numerous publications on architecture and art, inter alia. From June 2013 to February 2017, freelance work for the Federal Foundation of Baukultur, responsible for scientific research as well as project management of the Baukultur Report 2016/17. Since February 2017 deputy chairwomen of the Federal Foundation of Baukultur.
